Finally we can now start making some Summer of Sonic 2010 announcements, we start off with information regarding the music you’ll all be hearing at the convention this year provided by Summer of Sonics own team of DJ’s. Now this year there has been a reshuffle in comparison to the team that has been behind the decks the last 2 years. For starters I can now announce that myself (FastFeet) will be Lead DJ this year.
What that means is that I will be watching over the decks and the team of DJ’s we have this year. Whilst I have been responsible for providing all the music and some of the gear needed to let DJ’s work with the Sonic the Hedgheog music in previous conventions, this year I’ll be keeping a thorough eye on the DJ decks and the DJs themselves.
So who’s part of the DJ team this year I hear you ask? Like I say there has been a change from the previous 2 years. With the success of RadioSEGAs live shows since the start of this year I am now pleased to announce a mix of DJ’s from the Sonic communities 2 major radio stations. DJ line up is as follows.

So I just listened Fastfeet Media Episode (Gratz to Sound Reaper & Knukxy) And i heard one of the guest say ‘Sonic 4 is fucked because of Dimps’ I’m pretty sure Dimps Made the sonic advance games and the rush games and they were classic sonic games.
Granted Sonic has had a bad few years with Sonic 2006 etc but can’t we as sonic fans have a little more faith in the game developers? Does this give us a reason to say ‘the new sonic game will be crap’ before you have even played it for yourself just because Sonics last few games weren’t as good as the 2D ones or Sonic Adventure 1 and 2? Look at Sonic 4, SEGA are going out of their way to make the perfect Sonic game for his fans and we still have people boycotting it for reasons I can’t understand. SEGA even went as far as putting an option to play as the modern Sonic or the Classic just because a number of fans are complaining about his eye colour.
It was a just as Katio_Kun said on RadioSEGA: ‘why do these people complain about something so much when no-one is forcing them to like it? If they don’t like how Sonic has been over the past few years why don’t they just move on and stop bugging everyone?’ No one if forcing you to like sonic, so if you don’t have faith in the game’s developers and always expect the worst in his new game’s you might as well move on.
As for me, I see new Sonic game, I wait for Sonic game, I buy the Sonic game, I play the Sonic game then I decide if it’s a good game or not instead of judging it on is announcement.
Please note this does not apply to every sonic fan. I’m very aware there are a lot of sonic fans out there that don’t act like this. If I have offended you then I am sorry. There’s a topic to found at RadioSEGA about this and I will also open one on the forums here. Also read Mr.Streams blog about Sonic Colours which is found on this website to. Thanks for reading as always!

When we were kids, we either grew up with SEGA or Nintendo (or if you were lucky both) so you grew up with either Sonic or Mario.
Me? I grew up with SEGA and as I was quite young I can only remember up to five game’s I owned on the mega drive, one of which I don’t think is well known within the SEGA community. You may have already guessed this, but I got into gaming thanks to the SEGA mega drive which in sense was the first console I owned but you can’t own a console you can’t play at the age of Zero…

Last week saw the creation of a new weekly-ish blog series on FastFeet Media, called What If? In it, I pose sometimes serious, sometimes hilarious questions that need answering. Or maybe they don’t. Either way, they get answered.
 SEGA Dreamcast
After last week’s debut with “What If Sonic 4 is Actually Good?”, today we pose the immortal question – What If the Dreamcast was released today?
I won’t be answering this question based on the quality of graphics, as the Dreamcast was released an entire generation ago. Instead, we’ll be looking more at what the Dreamcast does/did, and whether or not it was ahead of its time, or late to the party. Hit the “More” button to continue reading.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2006, a game which got widely panned by critics everywhere including a large amount of sonic fans. What was wrong with this game exactly? Type Sonic’06 into your search engine and you will most likely find out what was so bad about it, but most of you reading this already know how much of a mess the game was in. Besides its long list of flaws the game did have colourful environments and a great soundtrack which the sonic series is well known for and it was carried on over to Sonic Unleashed. Yojiro Ogawa (Sonic Team producer) commented on the state of Sonic’06 and said the following:
“The reason why we probably ended up with what we see today, involves a lot of reasons. One is that we did want to launch the title around Christmas, and we had the PS3 launch coming up, but we had to develop for Microsoft’s 360 at the same time and the team had an awful lot of pressure on them. It was very hard for the team to try and see how we were going to come out with both versions together with just the one team. It was a big challenge.”

Hello, and welcome to a new weekly-ish article where I’ll be posing some interesting questions, usually spins on something that’s already happened. To start with, though, we’re going with the game that’s dividing the Sonic fanbase – Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1. What If…it’s actually good?
