The FTP Hub is our very own online resource, dedicated to the downloading and uploading of files. The service specialises in Sega, Sonic the Hedgehog and
Video Games files, but also showcases files from FastFeet Media and the general public too. But the service allows you to do more than just download and
upload, you can also comment on files using your FastFeet Media.NET passport as well as rating files. Finding what you're looking for is a lot easier using
the search facility available on every page.
On the whole the FTP Hub has some of the rarest files that you will be looking for, the service is easy and simple to use and all you need to use
it is your FastFeet Media.NET passport!
|
It's quite simple, by visiting www.fastfeetmedia.net/ftphub you will be presented with the FTP Hub
homepage and from here you can browse through the hub's directories which contain all of the downloable files. Alternatively you can search for something
specific or use the the website navigation to upload your own files or even look at the hub's statistics.
Of course the majority of these features require you to register with us, which of course is free. Once registered you can download and upload as many files
as you wish, and of course enjoy many other benefits around the FastFeet Media network too.
|
Downloading files is simple as pie. Simply navigate to a file you wish to download or search for one, once you're presented with a page that lists files
(files are displayed using file extensions such as .mp3 or .avi for example). Clicking on that link will give you details of the file, if you are not logged
in to your account you will be prompted to login or register. On this page you will see a button to download the file, once clicked you will be prompted to
save the file on your computer.
However should you discover that the file is streaming/playing instead of downloading you may need to make some adjustments to your web browsers settings,
this is a very simple procedure and there is a short support article to help you resolve this problem and can be found here.
|
Uploading files has been simplified once again. You do not need to use a FTP client, instead you can upload a file by visiting the upload page. Once again you need to be registered or logged in to your FastFeet Media.NET passport. Once you are on
the upload page you are given several options, you can provide a file name, desciption, version and so on. More importantly though you will need to submit
your file, you can do this by providing a web address or by uploading the file from your computer. The maximum file size you can currently upload is set to
50 Mb.
Please Note: When you upload a file your FastFeet Media.NET passport username is submitted so we know who is submitting what file. This way you will
get full credit to any work you submit and it allows us to keep an eye out for anyone who abuses this system. Anyone who is caught abusing the upload system
will face a ban from FastFeet Media.NET.

When you search for files the FTP looks in the filename for any related keywords, put simply this means that it will not find a file based on what directory
it is in and rather how it is named when it is added to the FTP Hub. So even though your search may not find the file(s) you are looking for it may still be
on the FTP Hub. If this is the case we suggest you browse the FTP Hub instead of searching or if we don't have the files you can always make a suggestion by
contacting us here.

|
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee a regular timeframe to update the FTP Hub, we update and add new files as and when we get the time. But you can usually
expect to see new files appear a short time after they have been released to the public by their official source. There is a small team of staff members who
work at updating all kinds of new content as and when possible, so if new file(s) are not there please be patient as it probably means we're working our way
round to getting them online and ready to download!
|
This problem is usually caused by the fact that you do not have a FastFeet Media.NET passport. Some features on FastFeet Media are only available to
members, meaning you'll have to register a new account - this is a short and simple procedure and above all its free!
However if you are experiencing technical problems then please visit the forums, as you can find support from the staff in here. Please do not repeatedly
e-mail us regarding any technical issues!

there are many ways to keep up to date with the latest files that have been added to the FTP Hub. For starters you can see the latest files added to each
category and sub-category when you are browsing the FTP Hub, so keep checking back to see what's new! However if you really want to keep up to date you can
subscribe to our RSS feeds which show the latest, most popular and most downloaded files depending on what you want to keep track of.
Keep up to date by visiting the FTP Hub's RSS Feed and Statistics page.

Early on in the FTP Hub's development we decided that having 3 or 4 levels of directories would be the best way of providing navigation. By creating this
form of hierarchy you can start by deciding what sort of files you're after (i.e. Sega, Sonic etc), then by choosing a media type (i.e. audio, video etc)
and then the game/album name etc. So whilst there may seem to be a lot of directories in the entire thing it's to make your life easier by making browsing
the hub a piece of cake.
|
Some directories (Usually at the 3rd or 4th level of navigation) have tags in brackets to help show you you what sort of files are in that directory asides
from audio, images or video etc (as you would have already seen this whilst browsing). Here is a list of all current tags:
Audio
- [FAN] - Fan-made Audio
- [OST] - Original Soundtrack
- [PRO] - Promotional Audio
- [RIP] - Ripped Audio
Images
None currently in use.
Video
- [FMV] - Full Motion Videos/Cutscenes
- [GAM] - Gameplay Videos
- [PRO] - Promotional Videos

Obviously the name 'FTP Hub' confuses some people as this service doesn't have much to do with FTP (File Transfer Protocol). But this is where the FTP Hub's
origins lie, back in earlier versions of FastFeet Media we had our own FTP servers for visitors to use and later on we even provided a very simple webpage
facility using the ftp:// prefix which listed files available to download. Essentially the FTP Hub used to be a lot smaller and complicated in comparison to
what is has evolved into today.

|
Should you require a complete guide to using the FTP Hub there is one currently being produced, although the FTP Hub is fairly simple in nature some people
will have problems using it. So there will be a complete guide available soon, otherwise we suggest you visit the support forums and browse for solutions to
your problem or create a topic should there not be an answer present. We prefer that you do not contact us directly unless you have a really impoirtant
problem that needs fixing. If that is the case then contact us.
