For those of you who are not too familiar with the likes of ‘ZRN in short it is a website that hosts a number of radio stations, up to 10 as far as I can recall from earlier days. Unfortunately after having such a long run in the sun and because of how busy the site is they have had to shut down due to their hosting demands.

They have been hosted fine up until a short while ago where their hosters have said that they will not host them because of the sheer amount of bandwidth they go through and as a result it was decided that the network would shut down. The reason I’m talking about it is because this is their last day effectively and ergo, their last broadcast.

The Past, the Present & the Future

Why is this on FastFeet Media? Well ‘ZRNs radio stations comprised of the likes of such big names as SEGASonic:Radio, SEGA Games Radio, Radio Nintendo and a few others too. These have all been big ways to get Video Game Music out to our community and I feel it is such a shame to go, but hey if you have been one of the loyal listeners to one of the radio stations and don’t want any of them to disappear you might be able to help out yet – checkout ‘ZRNs website to find out more.

We’ve been a part of the ‘ZRN family at some point too, namely FastFeet and spawnofsonic have both run SEGASonic:Radio at some point and I (and spawn) will no doubt agree we had a fantastic time running the radio and all the nuts and bolts that came with it. So I’d like to say thank you to Andy and Dreadknux for the opportunities we were given; it was most welcome and fun! That said SEGASonic:Radio will still find a way to keep going as it is under The Sonic Stadiums ownership.

So what does the future hold for us for our radio needs? Well whilst we wish ‘ZRN all the best in getting back up on its feet if possible, we’re sticking with our SEGA community.We ‘re working with RadioSEGA and Sonic Cage Dome (Some good buddies of ours) not only do we hope to get some live shows going, but podcasts too. RadioSEGA will be providing the radio (in CD quality) and FastFeet Media and Sonic Cage Dome will be bringing everything else!

Probably the biggest development from this? Well if you like listening to the music on RadioSEGA I bet you’d like to download it huh? Well soon you will be able to! Right now this is in the works but I’ll keep you up to date on any future developments.
