Yes, yes I know it’s been a while since last years Summer of Sonic convention but for some us (including me) it takes a while to get around to editing video. Fellow big shot in the community, renouned for his skills in artwork and a-capella music Elson ‘Darkspeeds’ Wong managed to spare a few minutes to talk to FastFeet about Sonic, the music and DJ-ing at Summer of Sonic. The video shows a nice tour of of the convention with the interview of FastFeet at 3:30 in. Big kudos to Darkspeeds, we’ll have our Summer of Sonic vids up very soon – enjoy this vid in the meantime!

Today marks a special occasion as for the first time in the Sonic and indeed the Sega community there will be a dualcast. What the hell is that I hear you ask… well a dualcast is a radio show where a DJ will broadcast to 2 radio stations at the same time. The show in question is Radio Redux brought to you by Sonic Wrecks and Echo Hawk and whilst this is season 5 the show is getting better all the time.
If you want to listen to the dual cast of Radio Redux you can find a high quality broadcast with plenty of listener slots over at our very good friends RadioSEGA, you can also find the other broadcast over at our other good friends SEGASonic:Radio.
Radio Redux airs at 7PM UK Time every Sunday so don’t forget to tune in every Sunday over on RadioSEGA!

Yep, finally we are going to return with an all-new show, format and location for FastFeet Media’s next series both as a radio show and a podcast! Some of you may be familiar with series 1 of the FastFeet Media Podcast and may have also noticed the extra shout outs we’ve been giving to RadioSEGA and its new live shows. Well it’s all because it’s the start of something, with FastFeet Media and RadioSEGA working together so you can listen to the live shows and music of RadioSEGA 24/7; then download the podcasts and mp3’s from FastFeet Media!
FastFeet’s FoneMix is the name of this new and show and it will start airing on Sunday the 18th of April at 8PM UK Time on RadioSEGA and every Sunday at 8PM UK Time. FastFeet’s FoneMix will also follow onwards from Radio Redux (presented by ArchAngelUK of Sonic Wrecks & SEGA) which starts airing on Sunday the 11th of April.
The name gives it away but the new show will revolve around call-ins from you – the listener! The show will also be hosted by myself; FastFeet and I will be joined by a variety of guests & themes in the community during each episode. If you want to call into the show, provided you have Skype installled onto your computer and a reasonable microphone you shouldn’t have any problems connecting and joining us in the show.
Right now we’re going to leave you with the teaser of the show appearing in 3 weeks time, if you haven’t checked out series 1 of the Podcast check it out here and you can also subscribe to the FastFeet Media Podcast RSS Feed.

Last week, Saturday Night SEGA lived up to my promise of a better audio experience, at least it did on the night. I seem to have misplaced/lost/never saved the AAC stream of the recording, leaving last week’s Podcast sounding a little less awesome. That’s something you can judge for yourself, however, by downloading this week’s Saturday Night SEGA: The Morning After Podcast, which can be found here.
But what can you look forward to this week? Continue reading after the jump to find out!

Hi all! I hope you enjoyed the first ever Saturday Night SEGA last Saturday night! I’d also like to thank you all for staying with me during the various technical problems that we were having during the show. Of course, this being my first ever attempt at broadcasting on live radio, mistakes were bound to happen. You’ll be pleased to hear that these won’t be happening again.
I’ve not taken the liberty of writing a blog just to apologise for some technical messups, however. I’m here to tell you about what’s in store for this week’s show!

Our friends at RadioSEGA have just announced the first part of their long awaited Project 7 update. Project 7 has promised members of the website the biggest revamp to date, and this first part has certainly met that expectation.
Starting from this Friday (12th March), RadioSEGA will be broadcasting Live Shows for the first time in its 3 and a half year history. The first show to hit the airwaves will be forum member ResidentSD’s SEGA AGES, a 90 minute show dedicated to specific years, consoles, or any other themes. The first show centres on 2001, and will feature music from Rez, Planet Harrier, Shenmue II and Sonic Adventure 2, amongst many others.
Saturday evening brings about my very own creation: Saturday Night SEGA. Saturday Night SEGA will be a mixture of classic SEGA tracks, along with some of the very best remixes from within the VG Music community. And, of course, I’ll be showcasing some of the tracks from the two Living Sedative albums I made for Sonic Relief.
If you happen to miss a show, don’t worry. RadioSEGA has you covered there, too. 24 hours after the initial broadcast, you’ll be able to download the show as a Podcast, allowing you to relive a particular favourite, or just catch up on any shows you might have missed.
RadioSEGA have announced that they’ll be revealing more shows in due course, including one or two that may surprise you. We’ll keep you up to date on all the latest announcements.

There are probably a fair few of you thinking wtf? at this point. Let me start from the beginning, Sonic Cage Dome who run a very impressive online gaming site dedicated to Sonic as well as a few other online multiplayer classics, have announced they are doing a spring Olympic Games. Those of you who can remember back to 2005, FastFeet Media covered their 2005 Sonic Olympics in SEGASonic:TV Episode 5. Why spring? Well lets face it who can be bothered to wait to play until the Summer
It will be quite a unique event taking place between March the 14th – 21st and 2 websites in the community are going head to head to see who is truly the best: The Sonic Center and Sonic Cage Dome. Mainly due to a long time rivalry between the two websites, however everyone is welcome to participate if you think you can take on the competition! If you think you have what it takes find out at the announcement on Sonic Cage Dome.

Last week, SEGA revealed Project Needlemouse as Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1, and I’d like to take this opportunity to voice my opinions on the game, based on what we know so far. First of all, I’m impartial to Sonic’s design. I feel I should make that clear right off the bat. As a game in the Classic Sonic storyline, I agree that it should feature Classic Sonic, but it doesn’t, and that doesn’t bother me. So long as the gameplay feels like Classic Sonic, that’s all that matters to me.

But what of the graphical design? I like it. In a strange way, it seems to blend the classical with the modern rather well. As with every other site, I’m basing this off of three seconds of footage featured in the reveal trailer. Rather than me try and describe it, let’s take a look at a screenshot, shall we?

Whoa, hold yer horses! All this talk of Project Needlemouse aka Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is making me dizzy. I feel the need to sit down and divert my attention for a while. Oh, what’s this? Gavvie of Living Sedative (and FastfeetMedia, I should add) presents his fourth album, a collection of reworked Sonic tunes for Sonic Relief. Well, I might just give that a listen and donate. I urge you all to do so because 1) it’s a worthy cause, 2) you’ll score some reworked tunes, and 3) paypal is easy peasy. Well, you can donate two ways (I’ll explain further down)…
Now, a few sites, forums, etc. have given this album a bit of bad press – I suggest you do something for Sonic Relief instead of complaining! Hey, even I might do something… stay tuned, folks! While there are a few issues with the overall sound quality, the arrangements are interesting and the odd surprise is hidden in there. The opener, Green Hill Sonata, is my personal favourite out of plenty here to choose from:
