Yep it’s that magic time of year again, nope not Christmas – it’s Sonic the Hedgehogs birthday. It’s been 18 years since the original title was released on the Mega Drive. I’ve heard of a few events happening throughout today ranging from people eating cake that they’ve made for the special day over to Sega running some birthday compos too.

Today we’re celebrating by adding media that has a special significance to Sonic, so far we’ve added the 10th Anniversary album that was released in limited numbers. It is now available to listen to and download. That’s the first of our updates but there are more still to come today, so keep an eye out as there’s plenty more to come today!

The second celebration comes in the form of the True Blue: The best of Sonic the Hedgehog album which was released nearer the 16th annversary I believe. Again you can listen to all 21 tracks as well as downloading it.

Finally we also had a podcast (a slighty late one), so we called the episode the ‘Belated Birthday’ episode. This can be downloaded here and you can subscribe to the FastFeet Media podcast here.
