Yes can you believe it? FastFeet Media or rather FastFeet (me) will be appearing at the Insert Coin 2009 Arcade Convention, the single largest event of its kind for over 10 years. This is another UK event as the venue for such an event will be at the Northampton Saints grounds on the 18th and 19th of July, so not long left to go!

Why is this big news on FastFeet Media? Well by appearing I mean that I will be DJ-ing for the conventiuon for pretty much the entire weekend. Both days the event runs from 10am to 8pm, so a good 10 hours of gaming a day, as well as Sega, Sonic and a whole plethora of video games tunes!

Alongside myself you will also be able to see RadioSEGA DJ-ing on the Saturday, whilst many of you will probably relish the chance to listen to Sega and Sonic soundtracks being played and mixed together in public (because lets face it how often can you do that?!). You should note that this is an arcade convention and that there are a ton of games that are all playable in their original cabinets too, just as a teaser here’s a few games that will be appearing at the Insert Coin 09 convention:

Ok so there’s plenty of great games, what else? Well the organisers will be holding competitions and tournaments throughout the weekend with many great prizes. Some of which may be coming from FFM too, one thing is for sure there will be plenty of Sega and Sonic goodies there especially as Sega amusements should be around too – there will also be various shops and stalls there were you can by merchandise from too. Also you can find cosplay events, a tech repair desk, a dedicated pinball area to name a few things you can do.

So there’s plenty of reasons to come to Insert Coin ‘09, if you’re still not convinced have a look in detail to the days events from the Insert Coin ‘09 website. Asides from that you’ll be able to see your favourite Sega and Sonic sites perform live on stage, I’ll also be about on the convention floor from time to time if you want to come say hello.
