Forgive me father, for I have sinned. I am not the good catholic boy you think I am. I have strayed from the flock and enjoyed it spending the last decade consumed in the world of Phantasy Star and partying, pausing only to sleep, learn Japanese and check out some handheld Sonic games; Sonic Advance and Sonic Rush being great but let us sweep Sonic Battle under the carpet or lock it away never to be seen.
Upon my return to Sonic, I discovered Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing and have enjoyed every second of it. I’ve even got the family involved on wireless DS multiplayer, yes, the family. I know it’s like every other party game out there – Sonic has the coolest car I’ve seen for a while. Shadow and his shady past (hur hur) sports a motorcycle that is pretty nifty on the narrower Samba de Amigo based courses. However, my favourite has to be Ulala who doesn’t quite drive but hovers about 2 feet off the ground with hilarious consequences.
If you’re looking for an alternative to actual family feuds, beat the crap out of each other playing Sonic & SEGA All-Star Racing!

Ok so the last couple of days I’ve been doing some extensive testing with High Definition videos, some of you may remember the Sonic CD HD Videos that we released not so long ago. Those were only the start of what we have planned, so to kick things off I’m showcasing a High Definition clip from Sonic Adventure 2 on the Dreamcast. Enjoy and don’t forget to let us know what you think below in the comments section!

Last week, SEGA revealed Project Needlemouse as Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1, and I’d like to take this opportunity to voice my opinions on the game, based on what we know so far. First of all, I’m impartial to Sonic’s design. I feel I should make that clear right off the bat. As a game in the Classic Sonic storyline, I agree that it should feature Classic Sonic, but it doesn’t, and that doesn’t bother me. So long as the gameplay feels like Classic Sonic, that’s all that matters to me.

But what of the graphical design? I like it. In a strange way, it seems to blend the classical with the modern rather well. As with every other site, I’m basing this off of three seconds of footage featured in the reveal trailer. Rather than me try and describe it, let’s take a look at a screenshot, shall we?

It hasn’t taken long for somebody to rip the intro video from the Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing demo on Xbox 360 and upload it onto YouTube! We’re rather glad they took the time to upload it in HD though, it looks awesome on the highest setting.
The video features quite a few of the main characters, but we’re not going to spoil the video for you. Watch it below:

I know we’re a bit behind on some of our coverage so we’re going to make more of an effort to keep up to date with some of the newer developments that are going on at the moment. As of today Sega have released the Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing demo on the Xbox 360 marketplace and is currently only available to gold members, whilst it is a bit of a whopper to download at over 1Gb in size it is truly worth the wait to have a play. The game was available to play at Summer of Sonic 2009, however I was a little busy to say the least on that day so I didn’t get a chance to play it.
You can expect to hear more of my opinion very soon as I will be getting this game rest assured, as it seems to be the nearest thing that Sega have made (or Sumo Digital depending on how you look at it) that can compete with Mario Kart. I wouldn’t compare the two games directly as Mario Kart has had several incarnations under the same name which has been around since the SNES days and this is an entirely fresh game by comparison. But the demo isn’t the only thing Sega released today…

This is quite an interesting turn in Project Needlemouse developments, the game referred to by the same name was yesterday confirmed by Sega Europe to officially be Sonic the Hedgehog 4. So there is a lot of happy faces because of this but also raises more questions; to name a few it seems as though the game will carry on from Sonic & Knuckles. Many fans favourite Sonic game was Sonic 3 and Knuckles including the storyline, bearing in mind this new venture is in 2D of course it will be interesting to see where things go… Voice your thoughts over in the forums.

Following on from the amazingly best selling Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games comes the Winter Olympic version and just in time for the cold weather to set in, well in this side of the hemisphere anyways. Checkout the launch trailer direct from Sega, seeing as the game is out today, I’ve heard good things from people who have played this so far so it looks as good as the orginal – if not better! So if you have nothing better to do with your weekend grab your Wii or DS and get a copy from you local games store! Expect a full video review in SEGASonic:TV Series 2 and when I get ahold of my copy!

So I thought it was about time FastFeet Media produced some HD footage (more to come *hint*). Thanks to TheBuilder from soniconthenet.org who actually compiled together a special Sonic CD DVD (worth checking out), we took that and made it into HD (High Defintion) and thanks to our encoding technology these have to be the highest quality versions of the Sonic CD Opening and Ending videos, including some footage you may not have seen! 6 Videos below 3 Opening videos and 3 ending videos. Download links to the HD videos to be added shortly…

It’s about time! Not only has Sega re-done their video logo which looks awesome as far as I’m concerned, but there is going to be a new Sonic the Hedgehog game and it’s going to be in 2D. Something us fans have been wanting for quite some time. My hopes? That it is a fully fledged game on 360/PS3 (as it will be HD apparently), perhaps 2.5D like Sonic Unleashed would be better in my opinion and a sprinkling of Sonic, Tails and Knuckles as playable characters bring back the classic Sonic 3 & Knuckles story and gameplay! SEGA – just please get the balance right from all your 20 Years of 3D and 2D experience. More to come soon…

The question is – have you got every piece of Sonic the Hedgehog music ever made? Well if the answer to that is no, then you might want to feast away on the downloads collection right here at FastFeet Media as we DO have all the Sonic the Hedgehog music with perhaps a couple of exceptions, maybe.
The extra special thing about our collection is that every file has been tagged, meaning it has all the artist, album, track number etc etc information embedded into the file. On top of that every file has album artwork embedded into it too so each album is easy to identify and this is the standard we beleive music files should be in. I know that many of you have asked for full .rar/.zip downloads of albums and it is something we’re working on….
