I know we’re a bit behind on some of our coverage so we’re going to make more of an effort to keep up to date with some of the newer developments that are going on at the moment. As of today Sega have released the Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing demo on the Xbox 360 marketplace and is currently only available to gold members, whilst it is a bit of a whopper to download at over 1Gb in size it is truly worth the wait to have a play. The game was available to play at Summer of Sonic 2009, however I was a little busy to say the least on that day so I didn’t get a chance to play it.
You can expect to hear more of my opinion very soon as I will be getting this game rest assured, as it seems to be the nearest thing that Sega have made (or Sumo Digital depending on how you look at it) that can compete with Mario Kart. I wouldn’t compare the two games directly as Mario Kart has had several incarnations under the same name which has been around since the SNES days and this is an entirely fresh game by comparison. But the demo isn’t the only thing Sega released today…

This is quite an interesting turn in Project Needlemouse developments, the game referred to by the same name was yesterday confirmed by Sega Europe to officially be Sonic the Hedgehog 4. So there is a lot of happy faces because of this but also raises more questions; to name a few it seems as though the game will carry on from Sonic & Knuckles. Many fans favourite Sonic game was Sonic 3 and Knuckles including the storyline, bearing in mind this new venture is in 2D of course it will be interesting to see where things go… Voice your thoughts over in the forums.

Greetings from FastFeet Media once again, whilst there has been a lack of updates this has been due to moving house, I’m all moved now so all we need is a good internet connection and we’re all done. That may be a little while away from now so updates will be coming in every now and then when I am able to make them.
To fill you in on what’s happening behind the scenes at the moment, the move has meant that FastFeet Media has a newly acquired studio space which will allow us to broaden the potential of the things we are producing. The website itself is going to get a few tweaks and a reshuffle layout-wis. You may already notice that we have some new advertisers at the top of the website so help support FastFeet Media by visiting them and who knows… you might find something you like! As we’re non-profit all ad revenues goes to help support the FastFeet Media server costs and nothing else.
FastFeet Media also has some new staff joining us soon, so keep an eye out for their updates. Other than that I’ll be working on finishing off some long overdue projects, so until we’re properly back check out all the site has to offer as far as downloads, music and video go for the time being. See you all soon ~FastFeet~

Doesn’t time fly?! I launched FastFeet Media on the 23rd of October in 2003 and to be honest back then I didn’t see it lasting this long but it has. With enough devotion to Sega and Sonic the website has stayed online through times good and bad, not only that I feel that the website is doing better than ever.
For a start I know we have our regulars who visit the website day in and day out so my thanks go out to all of you guys for visiting the site and staying devoted to Video Game and indeed Sega and Sonic the Hedgehog music and video. I’d also like to thank Sega Europe for their support towards FastFeet Media and the Sonic & Sega community in general. We look out for the Sega and Sonic community and clearly Sega do more than most games developers in the world to look out for their fans.

As FastFeet Media reported back here, the Golden Joysticks are the gaming industries awards ceremony held every year essentially. This year SEGA and Sonic the Hedgehog are into the final voting round with quite a few nominations. Sonic Unleashed is in several categories to win and, Football Manager and MadWorld are 2 other titles which Sega have been nominated for too and of course SEGA themselves could even win a Golden Joystick.
Cast your vote by visiting this page, if you do you’re also in with a chance of winning some gaming goodies too! My vote says it’s time Sega and Sonic won one of these shiny things…

It’s about time! Not only has Sega re-done their video logo which looks awesome as far as I’m concerned, but there is going to be a new Sonic the Hedgehog game and it’s going to be in 2D. Something us fans have been wanting for quite some time. My hopes? That it is a fully fledged game on 360/PS3 (as it will be HD apparently), perhaps 2.5D like Sonic Unleashed would be better in my opinion and a sprinkling of Sonic, Tails and Knuckles as playable characters bring back the classic Sonic 3 & Knuckles story and gameplay! SEGA – just please get the balance right from all your 20 Years of 3D and 2D experience. More to come soon…

My last update for the time being is the start of our return to SEGASonic:TV. Whilst there may not be any new episodes appearing right now believe me when I say we’re working on new episodes at this very moment. We already have a few things planned; Summer of Sonic 2009 is one of them obviously, amongst many other new shows to come from staff members old and new too!
For the moment though we will be bringing back some of the classics you may not have seen, as all 6 episodes of series 1 will return in the highest possible quality we’ve squeezed out of them! But you’ll also find some hidden extras being released along the way that we were going to release for the SEGASonic:TV dvd. Anyways enjoy the pilot episode above for the world’s first ever Sonic the Hedgehog Internet TV show back from 2004, it’s episode 1.

Okay, so it’s not actually in the magazine but we are on their website, it’s only recently been added but the article is a set of interviews from Insert Coin ‘09, which we attended and DJ-ed at of course last month. I was fortunate enough to bump into Ben Talbot who is the community manager of Official Xbox 360 Mag (you’ll also see him in our SEGASonic:TV Insert Coin episode). After having a bit of a discussion around the DJ set we went off and did an interview.
Of course this is the other thing we did at Insert Coin, so don’t forget to check out the Peoww interview and of course below is the link to the Insert Coin ‘09 feature.

Yes we’re back..hopefully. Reason for no updates over the last couple of weeks -well we’ve been moving FastFeet Media over to a new server, one that is 4 times more poweful than before and a damn sight cheaper too. We now have more space and capabilities, yay! Things should stay as they are but don’t be surprised if things disappear once or twice more, hopefully they won’t though.
Anyways onto other business. Welcome to our new server, pages should load faster now, but some other changes that have occured over the last couple of days are notable. First of all the FastFeet Media ‘FTP Hub’ is now ‘FastFeet Media Downloads‘. All of the downloads that we used to have you can still find on the FTP Hub, but on our new Downloads section a new archive is starting – a reorganised one with better filenames, album artwork. So a new and improved download section is gradually being rebuilt – it also makes sure you download the file the instead of playing it – schweet!
For the moment I will be touching up the website where it needs some cosmetic attention, but I’m also re-tagging every Sonic the hedgehog piece of music we have too! Oh and don’t forget Summer of Sonic, part 2 of the road to Summer of Sonic blog coming soon…

It may only be 24 hours away but I’m starting my trek to the first ever Insert Coin Arcade Convention. It’s going to be an interesting weekend as this is the first major event I’ve been to since Summer of Sonic 2008 and once again I’ll be DJ-ing for everyone attending.
With the exception that this time I will be laying down some pixelated beats all weekend, the convention takes place 10am – 8pm on both Saturday the 18th and Sunday the 19th. There will be a hefty display of both Sega and Sonic music but also an array of Video Game music too – ranging from Tekken 2 to Pop ‘n’ Twinbee and everything inbetween!
So how can you get involved? If you’re stuck at home or in another country for starters show me some comments guys by replying to this blog entry! But you can also request music and shoutouts by texting 44 78808 66405 – that number will work no matter what country you are in! Above all it’s stadard rate so it doesn’t cost anymore than usual!
