Our friends at RadioSEGA have just announced the first part of their long awaited Project 7 update. Project 7 has promised members of the website the biggest revamp to date, and this first part has certainly met that expectation.
Starting from this Friday (12th March), RadioSEGA will be broadcasting Live Shows for the first time in its 3 and a half year history. The first show to hit the airwaves will be forum member ResidentSD’s SEGA AGES, a 90 minute show dedicated to specific years, consoles, or any other themes. The first show centres on 2001, and will feature music from Rez, Planet Harrier, Shenmue II and Sonic Adventure 2, amongst many others.
Saturday evening brings about my very own creation: Saturday Night SEGA. Saturday Night SEGA will be a mixture of classic SEGA tracks, along with some of the very best remixes from within the VG Music community. And, of course, I’ll be showcasing some of the tracks from the two Living Sedative albums I made for Sonic Relief.
If you happen to miss a show, don’t worry. RadioSEGA has you covered there, too. 24 hours after the initial broadcast, you’ll be able to download the show as a Podcast, allowing you to relive a particular favourite, or just catch up on any shows you might have missed.
RadioSEGA have announced that they’ll be revealing more shows in due course, including one or two that may surprise you. We’ll keep you up to date on all the latest announcements.

There are probably a fair few of you thinking wtf? at this point. Let me start from the beginning, Sonic Cage Dome who run a very impressive online gaming site dedicated to Sonic as well as a few other online multiplayer classics, have announced they are doing a spring Olympic Games. Those of you who can remember back to 2005, FastFeet Media covered their 2005 Sonic Olympics in SEGASonic:TV Episode 5. Why spring? Well lets face it who can be bothered to wait to play until the Summer
It will be quite a unique event taking place between March the 14th – 21st and 2 websites in the community are going head to head to see who is truly the best: The Sonic Center and Sonic Cage Dome. Mainly due to a long time rivalry between the two websites, however everyone is welcome to participate if you think you can take on the competition! If you think you have what it takes find out at the announcement on Sonic Cage Dome.

Last week, SEGA revealed Project Needlemouse as Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1, and I’d like to take this opportunity to voice my opinions on the game, based on what we know so far. First of all, I’m impartial to Sonic’s design. I feel I should make that clear right off the bat. As a game in the Classic Sonic storyline, I agree that it should feature Classic Sonic, but it doesn’t, and that doesn’t bother me. So long as the gameplay feels like Classic Sonic, that’s all that matters to me.

But what of the graphical design? I like it. In a strange way, it seems to blend the classical with the modern rather well. As with every other site, I’m basing this off of three seconds of footage featured in the reveal trailer. Rather than me try and describe it, let’s take a look at a screenshot, shall we?

Whoa, hold yer horses! All this talk of Project Needlemouse aka Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is making me dizzy. I feel the need to sit down and divert my attention for a while. Oh, what’s this? Gavvie of Living Sedative (and FastfeetMedia, I should add) presents his fourth album, a collection of reworked Sonic tunes for Sonic Relief. Well, I might just give that a listen and donate. I urge you all to do so because 1) it’s a worthy cause, 2) you’ll score some reworked tunes, and 3) paypal is easy peasy. Well, you can donate two ways (I’ll explain further down)…
Now, a few sites, forums, etc. have given this album a bit of bad press – I suggest you do something for Sonic Relief instead of complaining! Hey, even I might do something… stay tuned, folks! While there are a few issues with the overall sound quality, the arrangements are interesting and the odd surprise is hidden in there. The opener, Green Hill Sonata, is my personal favourite out of plenty here to choose from:

Well it’s been a month and finally we’re back. Back from re-designing the website, adding a few extra nifty features in and ready to start adding lots more content for all you guys. First update of 2010 and also we’re technically on version 10 of FastFeet Media now to boot, so I’d like to say there isn’t gonna be another re-design but realistically, there will be at some point later on in the year.
It’s just the nature of the web, I always want to have the best looking, most functional and content rich site for everyone out there so I strive to make it better for everyone all the time. But seeing as a lot of hard work has gone into giving the site a lick of new paint we’ll be adding lots of new things, in the meantime here are the newest additions to FastFeet Media.
The Downloads, Music, Video Charts
The Downloads, Music and Videos sections of FastFeet Media all have top 10 or 20 charts, definitely worth keeping an eye on to see what’s popular with visitors of the site.

So this is Christmas… hope you’re all having a great day wherever you are and whatever you may be doing! Hope you all got some nice presents, I’m not getting much this year but it’s turning out to be a unique day for a change, very much like the entire year. I won’t go off on an entire year reflection monologue, but it was time for another update and hey, it’s Christmas so Merry Christmas to everyone visiting FastFeet Media!
But here are some small Christmas pressies from us here at FastFeet Media; they include an assortment of images I’ve had lying around on the computers here, so have a looksie below, otherwise visit the all-new forums and get talking to fellow community members, you can also get a sneak peak of the new upcoming FastFeet Media 10 design on the videos section here. Enjoy!

**21/12 UPDATE:**The forums have now gone live, register now and you’ll be able to start discussing all sorts, you’ll also be able to make use of upcoming member only extras! Click here to visit the forums, new registrations – click here. One of the first big updates to come to FastFeet Media is the announcement of the forums returning. Those of you who remember, the last time we had forums we had a lot of russian spammers about, grr…
Anyway I have now setup a brand new, far more secure forum – not only that but it looks a darn sight prettier too. The thumbnail to the left will give you a slight teaser of what is to come. But as this is the first part of a my new plan for FastFeet Media, I will say now that the website is going to have a slight tweaking of the layout and design and we’ll also be adding new features in for people who sign up as members of FastFeet Media!
I should also point out that I’ve hoped that everyone who visits FastFeet Media would want to stick around and form a good community around videogames, sega, sonic and the music, video and imagery we see everyday. So stick around as the forums will be re-opening very soon…

Yes I am indeed back, for those of you who have been more curious than a cheshire cat I shall explain below. I’ve finally finished moving house and getting settled into FastFeet Medias new location of Bristol and finally managed to get the Internet up and running (boy it sure does take a while to get the internet setup!). Whilst I have no big update to add to the website yet I have been working on some big things in the background (as usual).
The last big thing I did to the website was to add a ton of music on for all you guys to download, and I can see you’ve all been busy doing that as we surpassed the 100,000 downloads mark quite some time ago so now I’m waiting for us to hit the million mark! The next thing I wanted to do was to get the site tidied up from bugs and apply a few updates around the website that are well overdue. Not only am I going to do that but I’m going to refine the design of the site somewhat for FastFeet Media and a combined project I have in the pipeline too.
For those of you who keep asking me about the FastFeet Media Podcast I can now confirm that it will be returning before Christmas. If I make the time for it – as soon as possible. So please hold tight whilst I get everything up to scratch and get more more goodies online for you to browse through. There’s going to be plenty more Sega and Sonic gear before the end of the year and well into the beginning of 2010 – so hold tight!

Anyways to carry on our Summer of Sonic coverage I’m adding last years photos which aren’t on the site for some reason. Some fantastic shots in there and a good reminder of why the 2008 convention was great in it’s own right, credit goes to C.S.Baker for the photographs, cheers Baker!
More Summer of Sonic stuff to come…
Note: If you wish to browse the photos in gallery mode wait for all thumbnails to load, then click on one.

Ok as we were obviously at Summer of Sonic last weekend there was no podcast. So to make up for it FastFeet Media has an EXCLUSIVE PODCAST – essentially you can check out all of music I mixed as well as the audio from the Never Mind the Buzzbombers quiz.
This is part of the near 6 hour long Summer of Sonic broadcast that I’ve had to re-edit/compile, but it’s nearly here and includes Bentley Jones performances, the Q&A sessions and much more. Although there are some specifics you need to know about the recording but I’ll talk about them when I add it! So for the moment enjoy this special podcast and yet more Summer of Sonic ‘09 media to come!
